Southwest Louisiana Service Access: Survey

Community members across Southwest Louisiana frequently report long waitlists and difficulty accessing behavioral services. This initiative collects anonymous data to better understand the barriers families face when seeking support and to help guide future solutions.

Families across Southwest Louisiana frequently report long waitlists and difficulty accessing behavioral and autism services. While many families share these experiences privately, there is very little publicly available data showing the scope of the access challenges in our region.

Catalyst Behavioral Health LLC is launching a Community Data Initiative to better understand the barriers families face when seeking behavioral support.

The goal is simple: gather anonymous, community-driven data that helps illustrate where service gaps exist and how access can improve.

What This Survey Tracks

This survey helps us understand several important factors related to service access:

• Whether families are currently on waitlists for services

• How long families have been waiting for care

• Types of behavioral services families are seeking

• Geographic access across Southwest Louisiana

• Barriers families encounter when trying to obtain services

Understanding these patterns helps inform community conversations about service capacity, workforce needs, and future solutions.

Why This Matters

Access to behavioral services should not depend on geography. Families across Southwest Louisiana deserve timely access to high-quality behavioral care and support:

By collecting community data, Catalyst Behavioral Health hopes to better understand the scope of local access challenges and contribute to conversations about improving service availability for families in our region.

If you know other families who may have experienced difficulty accessing services, please consider sharing this survey so we can better understand the needs of our community!
